"In their quest for success, the mightiest men fall swiftly from grace and will surely fail if they forget their benefactors."

Carol Wiepert, 2009

One of the greatest things about America is there's power in numbers and we know how to band together for a common cause.  Few things in life seriously affect me to the point of taking public action.  However, when you mess with my my loved ones or my personal space, all I can say is.... I have just survived the longest and shortest year of my life.  My daughter recently turned 18 and graduated high school.  It was the longest year because it seemed there were a million things to do, endless deadlines and not enough time for it all.  It was the shortest because I knew my lovely daughter was getting ready to spread her wings and enter the world of adulthood.  I knew it was coming, but it came too quickly for me to keep up!

david-smMost women have a vision or an idea of what the man of their dreams is like.  We have a long list of traits we can't live without and aan even longer one of those we won't accept.  We have the desire to meet that one perfect man that will make life not only bearable, but a sweet utopia.

The man of my dreams comes to me every night.  He scoops me up in his arms and tells me he loves me (and only me).  As he strokes my hair, I drift slowly off to sleep feeling safe, special and complete.

Recently, a well meaning "professional" suggested my home would be "more stable" if I got a part-time job to supplement our income.  Along with running a household, my family, our finances, THREE WEB SITES and helping my elderly Mom with errands, etc., we have been raising our great-niece since birth (she just turned 2).  OMG!  Do I have a few things to respond to that one, just as soon as I can peel my laughing self off the floor!
