I am in the middle of producing another site for a very good cause. Please forgive me if I don't write any articles for the next week or two. Once completed, I will post a link here for those of you who may be interested in the content of the new site.
Until then, rest assured I am constantly monitoring the site and tracking any bugs/issues you bring to my attention.
I have just read and heard the video everyone is ohhhing and ahhhing about since Dr. Laura dared to say the "n" word IN CONTEXT. OMG! Saints bless us! She said it! The "N" word. Lions and tigers and bears OH MY!
Come on people! Ask yourself how our society degenerated to the point we are riddled with hypocrisy and narcissism such that we don't see her statement for what it was? It was a testimony (albeit a sad and correct one based on the resultant hysteria and hype) to modern (?) society. It lends credibility to her statement and the lengths to which we will go for an adrenalin rush or something to do with our down time. In short, we make "much ado about nothing" frequently for the sake of nothing more than mindless prattle.
For those with inquiring minds, here is the "real" audio of the entire conversation (thus revealing the true context and not what has been misreported globally):
It's about time someone puts a lid on censorship and the "moral majority" who put a foul side-winding slant on everything they see, hear, touch, or smell. Some things just "are" and that's exactly what Dr. Laura said.
For all those that got their panties in a wad over this, I can only say, listen to the WHOLE conversation, not just the misleading sound bytes and yellow journalism. Hear for yourself what Dr. Laura said. It's nothing more than a simple truth about life in general. Sometimes life is contradictory. It's an undeniable fact which was illustrated by Dr. Laura with one of life's real life contradictions. It was the caller who brought the subject up. Dr. Laura "responded" with her take on things. That is, after all, what she is paid and expected to do.... give her opinion. I'm pretty sure her contract doesn't call for everyone to agree with her to keep her job.
Shame on Dr. Laura for apologizing. Pointing out a fact doesn't make you a bigot or insensitive to others. She said nothing wrong. And who are the almighty "censors" that presume to educate me on the new MindSpeak? Disagree all you want with what someone says, but do not twist the truth, either in context or intent, and expect others to blindly swallow your thinly veiled hostility towards others under the guise of indignance. It only shows how ignorant we are of history and how dangerously close we are to an Orwellian society as a whole. To ignore history is to repeat it.
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
