Most women have a vision or an idea of what the man of their dreams is like. We have a long list of traits we can't live without and aan even longer one of those we won't accept. We have the desire to meet that one perfect man that will make life not only bearable, but a sweet utopia.
The man of my dreams comes to me every night. He scoops me up in his arms and tells me he loves me (and only me). As he strokes my hair, I drift slowly off to sleep feeling safe, special and complete.
The man of my dreams puts up with all my quirks and eccentricities. Even though I may look like hell and I am getting old and wrinkled, he tells me at least once a day how beautiful I am. The gentle touch of his lips as he kisses my neck still sends electricity through my body. Just looking at him makes my knees quiver, just as they did the first day we met.
The man of my dreams sits with me on the front porch several times a week and watches the sun coming up or going down. Each time, we hold hands and we are thankful we are together. We listen to the laughter of children in the background and smile. Each time I gaze into his eyes, I see absolute joy and tender love. The man of my dreams makes me glow inside.
The man of my dreams is a real man. He's kind, compassionate, gentle, loving and nurturing. He gives of himself to others. He isn't too proud to work hard for us and he provides a wonderful life. He never complains when there is more work to be done at home and he doesn't mind cooking when I don't. He's not too proud to help around the house or run errands when I don't feel like going out.
The man of my dreams is more than one in a million. There is no other like him and he's the only one who could possibly make me happy. He lives with me, laughs with me, loves with me, learns with me and he isn't too proud to cry with me.
The man of my dreams is a special gift God made just for me and he's mine... all mine, body and soul. Best of all, the man of my dreams is real. His name is David. He captured my heart 24 years ago and I will cherish him for eternity.
