As you know, Empowermom is all about helping others learn how to create their own unique web presence. This site was originally built as an example of all the things you can do with a website and to provide step by step examples/tutorials to get you going on your own. Things change so quickly in the web world, it's hard for everyone to keep up. As Empowermom learns, you benefit because she shares everything she knows.
Empowermom recently launched our entire social networking system. You'll be able to create and maintain your own space for blogs, friends, family ... WHATEVER you want it to be without the hassle of creating all the framework, content management and administration. It's bound to be a great learning experience for all of us. Explore the site frequently as features are being added and improved daily.
Please keep in mind it's taken a great deal of time and effort to test each new feature prior to installation on the "live" site, so things have a been a bit slower in coming than initially planned. I am still getting the kinks out of things and I'm trying to keep you updated with the list below. The good thing is, this will cut down on bugs and increase security so we can all enjoy all our new "toys" with minimal interruption.
CURRENT PROJECTS
- Working on uniform Terms and Conditions for the Blog/Social Network.
- Working on tutorials for the Blog/Social Network.
- BLOGS, Social Networking and Comments systems are installed but may still have a few kinks. I hope to be fully functional very soon.
- BLOG EDITOR IS FIXED! Have fun and post away.
- COMMENT SYSTEM still has a bug or two.
- Member registrations have been reinstated for the MOMENT. Forum features "temporarily" disabled. Once security is finalized, forums will be reinstalled.
- Content is being transferred from old site and updated daily. Check out some of our new members blogs!
Bear with us as things are a bit messy while I fine tune all the new features. The good news is, everything is changing on a daily basis! Think of it as a learning curve and play with whatever you find.
